Alas, we have come to the end. It’s been 16 weeks of triumphs, defeats, inspirations and frustrations. Now we boot up the Social (Fantasy) Network one last time to talk about all that we’ve learned here together. That’s right, it’s like those hokey, last-day-of-school pseudo-essays your teacher makes you write as a de facto evaluation of your time in class. The difference here is that this is actually fun. And it’s only 140 characters. As always, I’ve culled some of your many tweets and tried my best to distill them down into a handful of important fantasy life lessons that you can take with you into the future. This is where I’d normally include a Dr. Seuss quote and something […]

The 2012 NFL draft feature a number of excellent rookies other than the high-profile quarterbacks that are worthy of your attention. Here are eight from rounds two and three that you may have forgotten about.

The season may be winding down, but the hyperbole is just getting started. The much-lauded 2012 rookie class has featured the likes of such playmakers as Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, Russell Wilson, and Doug Martin, all of whom have been fixtures in league headlines for the last 16 weeks. But what about the rest of the gang? I’m not talking about the likes of Alfred Morris or Josh Gordon, going from draft day afterthoughts to key players in their teams’ seasons. I’m talking about the other big guns, the best of the rest who stood in the spotlight on the Radio City Music Hall stage with the commish, but have somehow ended up in the shadows during the 2012 season. Well, their […]

Heading into the final week of the season, it appears that very few (if any) teams will rest their starters. That’s good news for fantasy football owners.

Adrian Peterson – All Day Zone – All the highlights from every game Adrian Peterson’s played in as he inches closer to breaking Eric Dickerson’s all-time season rushing record. NFL Fantasy Live – December 24, 2012 Hour 1 This week, on a special, one hour, Christmas Eve edition of the “NFL Fantasy Live” podcast, Jason Smith, Michael Fabiano and Elliot Harrison relive what was either an excited or demoralizing Fantasy Championship Week. Also, the guys help those of you with crazy Week 17 Super Bowls get ready for your shot at fantasy glory. And, of course, things get all sorts of ridiculous in the Fantasy Cantina.

If you fine folks have followed along, you know I received a Festivus miracle last week when the Tennessee Titans defense scored 18 points (thank you, Mark Sanchez) to secure the win against Matt “Money” Smith. I ultimately fell short in that league (more on those circumstances in a moment). I went 2-2 on Championship Weekend, as I again took out “Money” in our NFL.com Experts League. So I’m stuck in kind of limbo, fantasy purgatory similar to the finale of “Lost.” But two championships is pretty cool. And to fight off my NFL Fantasy Live peers for the second time in three seasons is pretty cool, too. Moving on, it should be noted so many fantasy football championships were […]

Welcome to week 16, where we saw several records be broken… by kickers! There was also a 50-burger dropped in Green Bay, a real record broken in Detroit, and a heart-warming moment as the cherry on top of a wild Sunday. Let’s get to the unexpected (and expected) for week 16.
