Monday Nightmare: Wes Welker in Super Bowl form

Monday night was do-or-die for just about everybody. The entire season hinged on one game. And Patriots WR Wes Welker treated it like a Super Bowl … he dropped the ball.
Most fantasy enthusiasts probably swore like Gisele after a Super Bowl loss after Tom Brady seemingly threw about 20 touchdowns on Monday night, and not one of them went to Welker. In fact, things got so bad even Brandon Lloyd not only caught a touchdowns pass (wait, what?), he also pounced on a fumble for another cheapie score.
Even T.J. Yates scored in this contest.
Welker, on the other hand, had just over five points.

Oh no, it wasn’t Terrell Owens, but remember, Welker did spend a lot of time with Chad Johnson in recent years.
But the numbers were in line with what Welker has done at home in recent weeks. Welker had at least 13 fantasy points in back-to-back games, but he has only one touchdown in his last 10 home games. What does he have against Boston?
Welker is hardly alone in hurting fantasy owners. Owen Daniels, we are looking at you.
So who cost you on Monday night? Consider this one great big fantasy couch as we walk through the paces of a lost season. This is a safe place, and you are among friends. Let it all out — you’ll feel a lot better when you share.
