The Unexpected (and expected): Watch the fake!

Time now to take a look at the unexpected (and expected) from Week 10, and we’re not going to talk about new Los Angeles Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni. Although, if you’ve followed my work, you know I love the move and have called for it the last couple of weeks. (Just look back to the 2011 Lakers season to see what an unmotivated Phil Jackson is all about.)
But let’s get to the football.

Wait, the game’s over?

As a tie on Sunday looked inevitable, I cued up the Twitter and said:
Get your Donovan McNabb jokes ready, this game could be headed for a tie.

And just when you think it was a joke, many of the players on the field had no idea there was no second overtime period. I understand a lot of these guys might not have grown up big NFL fans. They might not have spent a lot of time watching NFL games as a kid.
But it’s kind of your (expletive) job, how about you learn the rules?

It’s a fake
————————————————————————————————————————————–
Let’s stay in San Francisco. What’s worse than being beaten by a fake punt?
Being burned by a fake punt for the second time in the same game!
Boy you hate to see that happen to Jim Harbaugh … in Opposite Land.
But was that worse than what happened in Baltimore?
Or, perhaps it’s when you have been blown out and a team fakes a field goal. I say all of them are bad.
But seriously Harbaugh, that was hilarious.

More love from Twitter

Here is Reggie Bush via Twitter after a loss.
I have to apologize to Dolphin Nation my performance these past few weeks has been poor & I’m embarrassed right now! You guys deserve better
— Reggie Bush (@reggie_bush) November 11, 2012
You know, I could totally fake that to have him apologize for the Texas loss in the Rose Bowl and Kim Kardashian, but I’m afraid Sam Bradford and Danny Amendola would see it and think it’s for real.
————————————————————————————————————————————–
What was that?
————————————————————————————————————————————–
If an alien came to Earth, how would it be possible to explain to them this quarterback, who made that throw, had won two Super Bowls against Tom Brady? Although, this would assume aliens watch the Super Bowl and know who Tom Brady is. Gisele, probably. But we’re assuming a lot with Tom Brady.
————————————————————————————————————————————–
Are they who we thought they were?
————————————————————————————————————————————–
If you ask me, Norv Turner doesn’t look like he knows what to do when he gets angry. He should have really watched Phil Dunphy from “Modern Family” on how to flip the switch. If the last episode is cued in your DVR, you might not get the reference.
————————————————————————————————————————————–
One hand grab
————————————————————————————————————————————–
That’s something you never expect from an Eagles receiver.
————————————————————————————————————————————–
Mime a TD dance?
————————————————————————————————————————————–
Well, that happened.

Game of the Day

The Saints saved their season (at least for a week) and ended the Falcons’ perfect season. The most unexpected? The Saints won with this nifty defensive play.
Jimmy Graham had a nice game and even showed some nice moves around the rim. But did he mess this up?
And seriously, never throw it to the lineman.
