Broncos WR Decker: ‘A bunch of guys do miss’ Tebow

On Tim Tebow’s 25th birthday, Eric Decker told “NFL AM” that some Denver Broncos teammates have fond memories of their former signal-caller.

“A bunch of guys do miss him because there was so much respect for a guy like him,” Decker said Tuesday morning on NFL Network. “He’s just a good guy, he worked harder than anybody I’ve been around as a young athlete.”

With future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning taking the Broncos’ reigns they will pass more, but the offense under John Fox still revolves around the run game.

“We went from kind of a lead option-type offense last season to a passing offense now,” Decker said. “I think still with coach Fox here our mentality is still to establish the run game and to be able to balance it out with a good passing game which we’ve done.”

As far as Tebow goes, Decker understands that you don’t shy away when you have a chance to bring in a Peyton Manning.

“Again it’s a business,” he said. “It wasn’t my or any player’s decision it was a front office decision and I think as an organization we try to do what we can to be the best football team to win a championship.”
