Terrell Owens finally got the tryout he’s all but been begging for since his stint with the Cincinnati Bengals ended in 2010 and he injured his anterior cruciate ligament during the ensuing offseason.

The Seattle Seahawks confirmed Sunday night that they plan to bring T.O. in for a workout Monday.

(UPDATE: Owens agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks.)

Former Pro Bowl corner Eric Davis — and current analyst on NFL Network’s ”NFL AM” — said Monday that he doesn’t believe it will work out for Owens with the Seahawks.

“For T.O.’s sake, because he really wants to play football, that’s obvious, I really hope he has something left,” Davis said. “But it’s not going to work. It’s not going to work.”

Davis’s reasoning was the dichotomy between the personalities of the head coach and receiver.

“Pete Carroll works better with young players,” Davis said. “He works better in a teaching mode, he works better brining the guys up the chain. I don’t think T.O. is going to listen to a lot of what he says. I don’t think Pete’s method is going to work with him.”
