My story: Is this the year Cowboys WR Dez Bryant lives up to his potential? “We’re just going to see”

Cowboys WR Dez Bryant is talented. Duh. He’s big, he’s strong, he’s fast, he’s got great hands, he has great balance. Yet we are all still waiting to see how good the former first-round pick from Oklahoma State can be.
So is Bryant. So is WRs coach Jimmy Robinson, who called Bryant a work in progress. Bryant looked good in OTAs yesterday, and he said he’s stronger and faster than ever. He’s also studying more film than ever, and he moved closer to the facility, so that he can be around more often.
All good signs. Another good sign? Bryant managed to produce last year without being completely healthy the whole time. He said he didn’t feel healthy once last year.
“Some of the game tape that I watched from last year, I really wasn’t too proud of myself,” Bryant said. “I know it’s because of the injuries, but I feel like this year, I’m spending more time focusing on my body and making sure everything is right.”
Is this the year? In his third season, will Bryant live up to his considerable potential? Finally?
I explored all these issues in my story on NFL.com focusing on Bryant from yesterday’s Cowboys OTAs.
