Von Miller says Melvin Ingram ‘can play almost anywhere’

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller criticized one of this week’s NFL drafts’ top prospect Robert Griffin III, but his take on South Carolina’s Melvin Ingram is something wholly different.

“Every player in the draft has their knocks. His just happens to be … where do you play him? In my opinion, he can play both (positions). He can play almost anywhere,” Miller told The Denver Post on Friday.

After training with Ingram in Florida, Miller says questions regarding what positions he can play are a nonissue and compared the draft prospect to himself.

“I think he can play defensive end, he can rush in the middle sometimes, kind of like a hybrid, I think he can do some of the things I did last year, maybe more.”

The NFL Network’s Chad Reuter currently has Ingram going at No. 12 to the Seattle Seahawks but Charley Casserly and Charles Davis both have him taken earlier at No. 7 by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Despite the uncertainty about how Ingram will be used teams aren’t shying away.
