Ryan Tannehill has become one of the NFL draft’s most controversial figures with opinions varying on the Texas A&M product as much as any prospect out there.

NFL.com draft analyst Bucky Brooks opines that Tannehill is one of five prospects who are overrated heading into next week’s draft, and NFL Network’s draft expert Mike Mayock said Thursday during a conference that Tannehill is not worthy of a top-10 pick based on the film he has watched.

Mayock did concede that “in today’s NFL, there’s a good chance he will be” selected in the top 10, but said that Tannehill’s film alone might not even be worth a top-15 or top-20 pick.

He’s “at least a year away,” Mayock said.
