Ex-Giants RB Jacobs agrees to one-year deal with 49ers

Former Giants RB Brandon Jacobs has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the 49ers, according to a league source.

Jacobs was released by the Giants in March.

The 29-year-old won two Super Bowls with the Giants in seven years with the team. He has rushed for 4,849 yards and 56 touchdowns after being a fourth-round pick by the Giants in the 2005 NFL Draft.

Jacobs started most of the Giants’ games in 2008 and 2009 but was the starter in just 11 games over the past two seasons.
