Saints’ Payton on way to owner’s meetings

PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Saints said Monday that head coach Sean Payton is on his way to the NFL Annual Meeting.

GM Mickey Loomis is here, and Payton might address media on Tuesday, according to the team.

Payton was suspended for one-year without pay last week by the NFL for his role in the Saints’ “bounty” program, while Loomis must sit out the first eight games of the 2012 regular season.
