Bunkley goes to Saints on five-year, $25M contract

Veteran DT Brodrick Bunkley and the Saints have agreed to a five-year, $25 million deal with $9 million fully guaranteed, according to a league source.

The Saints later announced the five-year deal but didn’t reveal financial terms.

Bunkley spent last season with the Broncos after five years with the Eagles. Word of his deal with the Saints came shortly after the NFL announced stiff punishments of coach Sean Payton and other team officials for their involvement in a “bounty” program.
