Iowa’s pro day Monday drew representatives from 23 teams, including Steelers GM Kevin Colbert, Packers GM Ted Thompson, Chiefs GM Scott Pioli and coach Romeo Crennel. Four OL coaches were on hand to watch OT Riley Reiff (6-foot-5 5/8, 312 pounds), a projected top-10 pick. Reiff excelled in his position workouts and recorded a 29 1/2-inch vertical jump and 26 strength reps. He is almost a carbon copy of former Hawkeye and current Packers OT Bryan Bulaga, but Reiff is a little bigger and has better feet.
Other notable performers included:
Adam Gettis, OL ( 6-2 1/2, 293) — Gettis did 20 strengths reps and looked good in position drills, but he needs to get stronger.
Marvin McNutt, WR (6-2 3/8, 217) — He ran a 6.95 three-cone and caught the ball well in position drills.
Tyler Nielsen, LB (6-3 3/8, 237) — Nielsen posted 4.64 and 4.66 40-yard dashes, a 37-inch vertical jump, 9-8 broad jump, 4.47 short shuttle, and a 7.13 three-cone. He showed off a polished technique in position drills.
Shaun Prater, CB (5-10 1/4, 192) — Prater ran 4.48 and 4.49 40-yard dashes and a 4.29 short shuttle, but he did not do position workouts because of a bad knee.
Jordan Morris-Bernstine, CB (5-10 1/8, 211) — He recorded 4.45 and 4.48 40-yard dashes, a 41-inch vertical jump, 10-7 broad jump, 4.31 short shuttle, 6.98 three-cone drill and 18 reps.
