Free-agent wide receiver Brandon Lloyd has agreed to terms with the New England Patriots, according to a league source.
Lloyd’s deal is worth $12 million over three years, a league source told NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora.
A 10-year veteran, Lloyd has played for the 49ers, Bears, Broncos, Redskins and Rams.
The move reunites him with Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, who coached Lloyd with the Broncos and later as offensive coordinator of the Rams.
Lloyd had his best season under McDaniels in 2010 as a member of the Broncos. That season he caught 77 passes for 1,448 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was traded to the Rams midway through last season, after which he recorded 51 receptions for 683 yards and five touchdowns in 11 games.
He joins a Patriots roster that also added former Colts WR Anthony Gonzalez on Saturday.
Llloyd had reportedly also received an offer from the 49ers.
