Mathis weighing options after ‘nice’ offer from Ravens

Free-agent guard Evan Mathis told me Friday the Ravens offered him “a nice deal” and he is flying home to Arizona to weigh his options.

Mathis is a seven-year veteran who spent the 2011 season with the Eagles. He started his career with the Panthers and has also had stints with the Bengals and Dolphins.

The Ravens recently lost guard Ben Grubbs, who agreed to terms with the Saints.
