Niners set to sign Cartwright

The 49ers will sign special-teams ace Rock Cartwright pending a physical, a league source said Thursday.

The 10-year veteran has been a special teams standout and team leader, most recently in Oakland.

The 32-year-old running back spent eight seasons in Washington.
