The Chiefs and TE Kevin Boss have agreed to terms on a contract for three years and $9 million, a league source said Thursday.
A source had said previously that Boss was going to visit with the Chiefs Thursday. He was released by the Raiders on Tuesday with three years left on a $16 million contract.
Boss had just 368 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 2011 with Oakland after notching 119 catches for 1,600 yards and 18 scores in four seasons with the Giants.
The 28-year-old Boss was a fifth-round pick by the Giants in the 2007 NFL Draft.
Chiefs tight end Tony Moeaki sat out last season with a knee injury.
