Free-agent DT Paul Soliai signed a two-year deal on Wednesday to stay with the Miami Dolphins, according to a league source.
The contract includes $12 million in new money, half of which is guaranteed. Soliai will be able to again hit the free-agent market in 2014, when the salary cap should soar.
Factoring in the franchise tag that the Dolphins place on Soliai last year, he’ll have averaged $8 million per year from 2011 to 2013, with $18 million of that guaranteed.
