Dolphins not yet out of Peyton Manning chase

DAVIE, Fla. — While some consider the Dolphins a distant last in the Peyton Manning sweepstakes, a source close to the quarterback said Wednesday that Miami is not out “at all.”

Take this news for what it’s worth — leverage or otherwise — but a source close to Manning said the four-time NFL MVP has not ruled out the Dolphins as a possibility. The source said the Dolphins might be “trailing in the race” but are “not out at all.”

This doesn’t represent huge news here, but it’s a rare sentiment shared from the other side of things. Miami sources also continue to maintain they believe they are still in the mix for Manning.
