Chiefs will host TE Boss for visit

The Chiefs are scheduled to host free-agent TE Kevin Boss for a visit, according to a league source.

The Raiders cut Boss on the first day of free agency Tuesday, just one year into a four-year, $16 million contract. Boss wasn’t exactly used in his only season in Oakland, finishing with 28 receptions for 368 yards and three touchdowns.

The Chiefs have a need at tight end and could pair Boss with Tony Moeaki, who missed last season with a knee injury suffered in the team’s preseason finale.
