Hangartner signs deal to stay with Panthers

Geoff Hangartner was a lifesaver for the Panthers last season, providing a stablizing force on the offensive line after injuries battered the unit.

Now the Panthers have rewarded Hangartner with a new three-year deal, according to a league source.

Hangartner was cut by the Buffalo Bills shortly before the season began, but ended up starting all 16 games at right guard for Carolina on a one-year, $1 million deal.
