The 49ers are bringing back CB Carlos Rogers, as the sides agreed Tuesday to a four-year contract worth a maximum of $31.3 million, according to a league source. The deal averages just less than $8 million per season.
Rogers, 30, signed with the 49ers last offseason and started all 16 games, finishing with 43 tackles and six interceptions. He also was selected to his first Pro Bowl.
The 49ers also helped solidify their secondary by signing Perrish Cox earlier Tuesday, and they were making a push for former Lions CB Eric Wright.
