Bills WR Johnson’s deal includes $8.5 million signing bonus

The Bills and wideout Stevie Johnson agreed to a multiyear contract extension Monday, and Johnson’s five-year deal includes a $8.5 million signing bonus and a $4.5 million option bonus, according to a league source. The contract also averages just over $8 million per season in the first three years of the deal.
Johnson will make a base salary of $2.6 million in 2012, which is fully guaranteed, he also has a base of $2.55 million in 2013, along with the $4.5 million option bonus; $6.75 million of that is guaranteed for injury only if the option is not exercised.
In 2014, Johnson is set to earn $3.65 million with a $1.75 million roster bonus, and he’ll have a $5.5 million base salary in 2015 with a $250,000 roster bonus. In 2016, Johnson’s base is $5.85 million.
