INDIANAPOLIS — The Lions are willing to move CB Alphonso Smith and have shopped him to at least one team, a league source said Saturday.
Smith was a second-round draft pick by Broncos in 2009 and was traded to Detroit for TE Dan Gronkowski. The free-agent market for cornerbacks could be quite thin depending on how many players get the franchise tag.
Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff conceded Friday the franchise tag is a possibility for CB Brent Grimes if a long-term deal isn’t reached.
