Flacco’s agent likes start of extension talks with Ravens

INDIANAPOLIS — Joe Linta, the agent for Ravens QB Joe Flacco, met with team officials at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon and said initial contract talks went well.

Flacco is seeking a deal that would pay him in the range of $15 million per season. He is willing to work with the team to be flexible about payments being spread into 2013 and 2014, when the salary cap is projected to jump based on new TV revenues.

Flacco has one year left on his current deal.

A league source previously said the Ravens want to lock up Flacco with a long-term extension.
