Let’s talk: Combine kicks off with news conferences galore

INDIANAPOLIS — The 2012 NFL Scouting Combine is underway, with a packed lineup of head coach and general manager news conferences on tap for Thursday.

With a combine-record 750 credentialed media attending this year — breaking last year’s mark of 715 — this much is clear: There is no offseason for the National Football League.

Here’s a look at Thursday’s schedule (all times Eastern and subject to change):

10 a.m.: Lions coach Jim Schwartz
10:15 a.m.: Bears coach Lovie Smith
10:30 a.m.: Broncos coach John Fox
10:45 a.m.: 49ers GM Trent Baalke
11 a.m.: Dolphins coach Joe Philbin

11:15 a.m.: Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland
11:15 a.m.: Titans coach Mike Munchak
12 p.m.: Steelers GM Kevin Colbert
12:15 p.m.: Vikings GM Rick Spielman
12:30 p.m.: Cardinals GM Rod Graves
12:45 p.m.: Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt
1 p.m.: Cowboys coach Jason Garrett
1:15 p.m.: 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh
1:45 p.m.: Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano
2:15 p.m.: Panthers coach Ron Rivera
