INDIANAPOLIS — John Fox met with the media Thursday morning, and it didn’t take long for someone to ask the Brady Quinn question.
Quinn’s radioactive riff on Tebowmania — complete with a diatribe over the dearth of pro-Brady billboards in the greater Denver area — caused a stir, but the Broncos coach sees it as water under the bridge.
“Well, knowing their relationship, knowing both Brady and Tim (Tebow) very well myself, you know, sometimes things get lost in translation,” Fox told reporters. “I know their relationship is very close, they have a lot of respect for each other. They’re very good teammates to each other, so, that’s kind of what I know.”
Fox said he was pleased Quinn apologized for his words, and the episode won’t have an impact on the quarterback’s future in Denver.
“Oh, no. … Like I said, I already know the relationship,” Fox said. “I know he was a great teammate to Tim. I know Tim knows that, I know their head coach knows that. We still like Brady Quinn.”
Denver seeks help at quarterback, but Fox appears pleased with his top two, meaning Tim and Brady will need to make it work in the Broncos’ locker room.
