Ryan Tannehill, one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2012 NFL Draft, will throw for scouts on March 29, his first workout since fracturing his right foot prior to the Senior Bowl. The workout will take place on the campus of Texas A&M.
Tannehill will not participate in the NFL Scouting Combine, which starts next week in Indianapolis, but he will be there for medical testing and to meet with teams.
According to sources, Tannehill had a screw inserted in his injured foot and is on doctor’s orders to stay off it until shortly before his March 29 workout. The foot was repaired last month by noted orthopedist Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte, N.C. The quarterback was in a boot but had it removed last weekend.
I expect Tannehill to be the third quarterback chosen in the draft behind Stanford’s Andrew Luck and Baylor’s Robert Griffin III. I have him ranked as the eighth-best prospect in the entire draft.
