INDIANAPOLIS — Standing about 10 feet away from the media crush surrounding Patriots superman Tom Brady, a less-robust gang of reporters saddled up to Nickelodeon’s Pick Boy, who attempted to explain himself.

“It’s part superhero, part awesome and 100 percent good-looking,” Pick Boy said. “That’s pretty much the combination that comes up to get me here.”

So how does a grown man find work as a mid-tier hero at Super Bowl Media Day?

“Oh, no. This is not a job,” he said. “This is my life.”

He rebuffed a reporter who asked about his “costume.”

“It’s a uniform,” Pick Boy shot back. “It’s OK. It’s cool. I’m not going to get on your case about it. I know you see the muscles and you’re intimidated enough.”

Total crickets on that one.
