NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora and Michael Lombardi are stationed in the NFL Media newsroom Monday as they track all the coach, front-office and player movement following the final day of the regular season. Watch NFL Network and check back with this blog for the latest.
The Buccaneers were underwhelmed by the “yungry” Raheem Morris, and now they might go in an opposite way for their next coach, according to La Canfora.
“Everything I’m hearing points toward them going in a different direction,” La Canfora said. “Looking for someone more experienced, with an NFL pedigree, with some wins under his belt, playoff experience at this level.”
La Canfora continues to hear the Bucs tied to former Packers coach Mike Sherman and current Falcons offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey.
“They need somebody to come in there and really rev up this team,” Lombardi said. “It’s a young team that can be molded in any way you want to mold them. And I think clearly Raheem Morris thought after the 10-win season he had them on the right track and kind of laid back. And I think ultimately that’s what cost him.”
