Three and Out: Quit crying, Falcons

Falcons are upset guys played a full 60 minutes: Some anonymous Falcons players are upset Drew Brees continued to throw the ball well after the game had been settled on Monday night. My reaction is to get over it. You know he was chasing a record in prime time, right? In fact, how come the Falcons didn’t follow by having Matt Ryan there at the end? You know how many fantasy leagues were won/lost because Brees kept flinging the ball and Ryan did not? The old cliche says the Falcons should have just stopped Brees from throwing the ball. And that’s the correct answer. I love teams playing to the end. But again, he was going for a record, did you really think he was going to shut it down to play for next week? Stop embarrassing yourselves anonymous Falcons players. Worry more about beating the Buccaneers next week, and less about Brees breaking records.

Gruden to coach St. Louis? There are reports that possibly disposed Chargers G.M. A.J. Smith will land in St. Louis to ruin run that franchise. The hot rumor is that Jon Gruden will be the coach. Not sure if that’s going to happen. What seems more likely is that Norv Turner would likely end up in St. Louis as the offensive coordinator. I like that pairing with Sam Bradford much more than I like the Josh McDaniels debacle currently going on in the gateway city. Turner should be a hot name for a coordinator for Jacksonville, but his best bet might be in New York where he could replace another Schottenheimer.

But seriously, Smith running the St. Louis Football Club? I would seriously have to rethink my stance wanting the team to come to Los Angeles.

Who is the best rookie WR? Falcons WR Julio Jones had another huge night against the Saints. So here’s the question I want you all to hit me up about on Twitter … who do you grab next year, Jones or A.J. Green? Both guys are going to fly off the boards early, who do you prefer?
