Texans TE Owen Daniels (knee) is questionable for Thursday’s game at the Colts and while the team is hoping he will be able to go, they won’t have a better idea until closer to kickoff. Daniels hasn’t exactly been a fantasy fireball this season, scoring double-digit points just once since Week 4 and going without a touchdown in that same stretch. The alternative is Joel Dreessen, who has has a nose for the end zone (six TDs in his last 10 games) but isn’t such a big help when it comes to yardage (averaging 14.1 receiving yards per game).
However there is a silver lining, and it’s that the Colts haven’t had the best time with TEs, allowing the ninth-most fantasy points per game to the position as well as seven touchdown receptions. Keep an eye on Daniels. If he’s playing, you’re probably best avoiding any Houston TEs, as they’ll likely split any production. If Daniels can’t go, consider Dreessen an option in deeper leagues.
