Three and out: Murray officially done

Here’s what’s going on in the fantasy world on Tuesday.

Cowboys place Murray on IR: The Cowboys made it official by placing rookie RB DeMarco Murray on IR on Tuesday, to end a great run by the Oklahoma product — and probably end your fantasy season, too. Personal fantasy anecdotes can be tiresome, but if you’ll indulge me, my NFL Network team has lost RB Jamaal Charles, RB Fred Jackson, WR Kenny Britt and now Murray for the season. I’d feel pretty confident if I still was rolling with that team. If you can top that, hit me up on Twitter. Fantasy enthusiasts are requested to add Felix Jones (if somebody gave up on him) or Ryan Grant to your rosters immediately. If neither of those guys are available, well, there’s always next year.

Gore not 100 percent: 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed that RB Frank Gore has “got some things” and not “100 percent” that is why his attempts are being limited. That should raise the red flag for Gore owners this week, that is if the tough matchup against the Steelers defense wasn’t enough. The suspension I’d use Gore as nothing more than a flex option this week. In fact, I would rather start Jones.

Jackson not sure when McFadden will return: Raiders coach Hue Jackson said that he doesn’t know when injured running back Darren McFadden will return, but he’s not out for the year. (Somebody might want to tell Jackson that it’s Week 15.) The good news is that McFadden is not going to have surgery, but even if McFadden does return, can you trust him? I wouldn’t drop him, but I’m not sure I would ever play him as long as I had better options.
