Revis says Jets can’t point fingers at Sanchez

Mark Sanchez has taken his share of heat for the Jets’ struggles this season. Some believe he’s holding the team back. In one heated moment, his own coach even said Sanchez made the “stupidest” play in football history.
Sanchez is shrugging it all off, but sheeesh, tough crowd.
Well, teammate Darrelle Revis doesn’t see a confidence issue in Sanchez. Besides, the Jets are going to ride with the QB either way, so Revis believes there’s no point in pointing fingers now.
“Mark is the same quarterback that took us to back-to-back AFC Championship Games,” Revis told NFL Network on Tuesday. “I know that is the past and this is the future now, but the guys that we have, we can’t point fingers. These are the guys that we have. We don’t have Steve Young, so we have to believe and trust in the guys that we have here and build confidence up for those guys.”
We expected Revis to say as much. But if the Jets don’t turn things around over the next seven weeks, it’ll be interesting to see how much longer Sanchez is around for any finger-pointing.
