Got ‘em? Need ‘em? Palmer was on ticket hunt

Sure, Carson Palmer is settling in as the Raiders’ starting QB. But keep in mind that just a few weeks ago, that most certainly was not the case.
Palmer admits he never fully retired while mired in an impasse with the Bengals before the blockbuster deal at the trade deadline that landed him in Oakland. But his days consisted of some “retired old-man workouts” and, we think, some couch time.
Oh, and trying to score tickets to last Thursday night’s game in San Diego. The, uh, same game he just started for the Raiders.
“I was hitting up Norv (Turner) for tickets at one point and I was going to bring my son to a game,” Palmer told NFL Network following the Raiders’ 24-17 win. ”I was going to bring my son to a game, and then a couple of weeks later — three weeks, four weeks later — I’m here playing.”
The best part is Palmer isn’t joking. Presumably, his son still got to go to the game.
