Broncos hope to play to Tebow’s strength: After Denver QB Tim Tebow rushed for 118 yards last week against Oakland, coach John Fox is considering turning his offense into a full-time option attack. Despite looking less than stellar at times, Tebow has scored 16-plus fantasy points in each of his last four games and has topped 20 points in two of his last three contests. However, if the Broncos indeed decide to shift to an option offense, it will come at the expense of Eric Decker and Eddie Royal. Decker has scored in double-digits the last two weeks, but his targets could drop significantly. As for Willis McGahee, any shift toward the running game would likely be a boon to his production.
Bradshaw still not practicing: Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) sat out Wednesday’s practice as he continues his rehab. With Bradshaw sidelined last week, Brandon Jacobs ran for 72 yards and a touchdown against the Patriots. This week, the Giants visit the 49ers, who are much less hospitable to opposing running backs. Bradshaw’s status remains up in the air for this week, but whichever back starts for Big Blue Sunday is a cautious play for the week.
Lions mum on Best’s status: Lions RB Jahvid Best (concussion) is likely to miss his third straight game Sunday, but coach Jim Schwartz dodged the question of whether the second-year back was finished for the season. Former Lions RB Kevin Smith returned to the team to try and help a rushing attack that ranks 27th in the league. In the meantime, Best reportedly will have further tests done. In the short term, Detroit faces Chicago Sunday and while the Bears have been in the middle of the pack when it comes to stopping fantasy running backs, the Lions haven’t shown they have any RBs worthy of starting. You can find better fantasy options.
