Monday Nightmare: Failure to deliver

Regular readers of this space know that Monday night was not going to be a good one for me. I had scored the second-most points in our NFL Network league and was looking pretty good until I noticed that Lindsay Soto was rolling out Matt Forte, LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson. We know how this one was going to end, right?
Oh, you would be wrong. Don’t worry, I was, too. Soto got modest games from Forte and McCoy while Jackson continues to challenge Peyton Hillis and Chris Johnson as the most disappointing fantasy performer of the season. So wait, did I actually survive a Monday Nightmare? Awesome. Not such good news for Riley, who reached me on Facebook with this message of woe: “2 Forte fumbles and a M. Barber touchdown and I lose by 7. #mondaynightmare.”
Don’t you worry, there were more in the same boat.
Another fellow fantasy enthusiast, Dina was waiting for Michael Vick to have a good game, and he only had 9.92 points. What happened to the guy who put up big numbers?
That has to be the worst, right? Going into a Monday night with high hopes for a fantasy superstar who then fails to deliver. I mean, it’s not like Riley and Dina were looking for Jason Avant to score 29 points. They were looking for fantasy superstars to do their thing and they failed. That’s more frustrating than being on the other end of the nightmare watching your opponent’s superstar beat you, right?
Or is it? Talk about it by venting here. There is nothing I can say that will help you, but I will let you know that it feels better to get it out. Consider this one great, big therapy couch, and the rest of us are here to help.
Let it out, you will feel better when you do.
