Three and out: Giants’ Bradshaw has broken foot

Bradshaw out indefinitely: The Giants are preparing for life without RB Ahmad Bradshaw, who might miss time because of a cracked bone in his foot. The injury potentially thrusts Brandon Jacobs into New York’s No. 1 running back position, which is a good spot to be with New England’s shaky run defense next on the schedule. With the prospect of Sunday’s game being a shootout, any Giants on your roster are worth starting. Except perhaps Hakeem Nicks (hamstring), who missed Thursday’s practice and is uncertain for the weekend.
McGahee uncertain for Sunday: Broncos RB Willis McGahee (hand) won’t play Sunday against the Raiders if he can’t protect the ball or himself with his surgically repaired hand. Meanwhile Knowshon Moreno is waiting in the wings to take on a defense that has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per week to opposing running backs. Whichever back answers the bell Sunday is worth a start.
Jones not close to returning: Cowboys’ RB Felix Jones (ankle) missed practice again Thursday and doesn’t appear close to getting back on the field. That leaves a potential DeMarco Murray-Phillip Tanner rotation for Week 9 against the Seahawks. Seattle’s defense has quietly had a good season, ranking in the top half of the league. Fantasy-wise, the “Hawks are in the top 10 when it comes to shutting down the opposition’s running backs. It’s likely that Murray will get the bulk of the touches this week, but if you plan to start him, proceed cautiously.
