First and 10: Tebow the hero

The Tim Tebow era got off to a memorable start in Miami Sunday, where the former Florida Gator looked terrible for three and a half quarters before rallying the Broncos to turn a 15-0 deficit with 2:39 left into an 18-15 overtime win.

Fantasy Feedback: Week 7

The Cowboys haven’t gotten much from Tony Romo today — 111 yards and a touchdown — but they haven’t needed it with DeMarco Murray already well over 100 yards with a rushing TD. It’s becoming impossible to know what to make of the Packers’ running game. Ryan Grant and James Starks have gotten an equal number of carries and have been equally unimpressive — 4 rush, 18 yards each. After hearing all week that Jackie Battle would get the bulk of the carries, it’s Dexter McCluster leading the team in carries at halftime. McCluster has five carries, Battle has three, Thomas Jones has two while Le’Ron McClain has one — which went for a one-yard touchdown. Steven Jackson has started well with 12 rushes for 59 yards and […]

Broncos’ Bailey says Tebow is special player

We’ll presume that Champ Bailey has seen almost everything there is to see in the NFL over 13-plus seasons. What he hasn’t seen is anything, or rather anyone, quite like Tim Tebow.

Rams’ Bradford a game-time decision vs. Cowboys

Sam Bradford is uncertain for Sunday’s game against Dallas and his uncertainty will have a ripple fantasy effect on the rest of the Rams offense.

Bailey amazed Harbaugh, Schwartz escaped fines

NFL veterans Champ Bailey and Derrick Mason wouldn’t have a problem with the NFL lightening the pocketbooks of 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh and Lions coach Jim Schwartz following their instantly infamous post-handshake fight … hmmm … scuffle.

Jets’ Tomlinson to start versus Chargers

The Jets are hosting the Chargers on Sunday and LaDainian Tomlinson will get the start against his old team, but he remains a very risky play for fantasy owners.

Three and out: Best advised to sit rest of season

After his second concussion of the season, Jahvid Best is being advised to sit out the rest of the season leaving a hole in both the Lions and fantasy owners’ rosters.

Data Points: Brees getting picked more often

The torrid pace that Saints QB Drew Brees set in the first three weeks of the season has slowed down just a bit — he had thrown three TD passes in each of his first three games. Still, what was even more impressive for the number of pass attempts is that he had tossed only two interceptions in that span. The last three games have seen a dramatic reversal. It’s understandable that Brees hasn’t kept up the pace with TD passes, but he’s actually thrown more picks than scoring passes.
