Brown becomes Best handcuff

Welcome back to fantasy relevance, Ronnie Brown. The Lions acquired the veteran running back in a trade-deadline deal with the Eagles. Brown becomes the immediate handcuff for Jahvid Best, and might be thrust into the starting role this week with the latter possibly missing time after suffering a concussion Sunday. Though coach Jim Schwartz would not rule out Best for this week, according to the Detroit Free Press.
There is also a possibility that Brown will take some goal-line work, too.
The Lions will send Jerome Harrison back to the Eagles, and he joins Dion Lewis as the handcuffs for LeSean McCoy. Given Harrison’s success last year, he figures to be the best bet for the handcuff long-term.
It is about time some NFL teams started wheeling and dealing, though, if I was the Lions, I would have been working the phones to try to get Adrian Peterson out of Minnesota (and yes, I realize that it is just a dream).
