Texans’ Tate, Ward slowly on the mend

With Andre Johnson already starting to rehab his hamstring injury, the Texans can turn their focus to the running back duo of Ben Tate and Derrick Ward. Neither of Houston’s backup runners took part in Wednesday’s practice as the two RBs recover from various injuries. Judging from past weeks, you can expect Houston to remain coy about the playing status of either until game time.
Meanwhile, it bodes well for Arian Foster owners. Last week, with Ward inactive and Tate being forced to the sidelines early with an injury, Foster proved he was ready to carry a full load. He ran the ball 30 times for 155 yards in the win over Pittsburgh. If neither Tate nor Ward are ready to go on Sunday, Foster will once again see a pretty stout workload.
