Monday Nightmare: How is it Eli again?
Adam Rank | Tags: Monday Nightmare, Eli Manning, Rex Grossman
No matter what I do with Eli Manning, he is going to ruin my fantasy team. Start him like I did last week, and he kills me. Bench him in favor of Rex Grossman this week, and he kills me. Although the biggest failure is in my own hands for starting Grossman.
Let me lay out the latest heartbreak. After cinching a tie with Willie McGinest in our NFL Network league late in the fourth quarter, I said to myself, the only thing that Grossman could do right now to ruin me would be to throw an interception.
Or fumble the football.
We all know how Washington’s last offensive play went, right? So that’s it. Excuse me for going Jim Fassel here, but I am pushing my chips to the center of the table, and I am going all in. Eli will be my starting quarterback in the NFL Network league from here on out, save a bye week, or missing a game because of an injury. I made my bed, now it’s time to set it on fire like that Farrah Fawcett Lifetime movie from years ago.
Oh, and I know I am not alone. I already received one tweet about the Tim Hightower and Roy Helu business. So let’s all vent here. There is nothing I can say that will help you, but I will let you know that it feels better to get it out. Consider this one great big therapy couch, and the rest of us are here to help.
Let it out, you will feel better when you do.
