UPDATE: Carimi remains out to start the second half for the Bears, as Omiyale is in the lineup. Bears WR Earl Bennett (chest) is also being held out after being injured on a hit by Saints SS Roman Harper during the first half. It’s better news for the Saints, as Vilma has returned.
We’re tracking two injuries in the Saints-Bears matchup in New Orleans that could have a big impact in the second half.
Bears starting RT Gabe Carimi limped of the field late during the second quarter with an apparent right leg injury. He headed into the locker room early before halftime and was replaced by Frank Omiyale.
Saints LB Jonathan Vilma also left the game during the second quarter with what looked to be a leg injury and was taken by trainers to the locker room, according to The Times-Picayune. The Saints haven’t made an official announcement on Vilma yet.
