Jaguars pull McCown for Gabbert

The Blaine Gabbert era has started in Jacksonville.

Trailing the Jets 32-3 during the fourth quarter, the Jaguars pulled starter QB Luke McCown in favor of Gabbert, the team’s first-round draft pick in April’s draft. McCown was having what we’ll call a rough day — completing just 6 of 19 passes for 59 yards and four interceptions — before coach Jack Del Rio finally decided to end.

Things didn’t go that much better for Gabbert — he led the Jaguars on a nine-play drive that ended in a failed fourth-down conversion — but he didn’t throw an interception. That’s a start.
