If Ravens chop, Gray plans ‘to hurt them, too’

The Titans have heard Pittsburgh’s complaints about the Ravens employing cut and chop blocks in their revenge-fueled victory over the Steelers in Week 1.
Baltimore wasn’t flagged for any illegal blocks in the win, but Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray plans to go straight at the Ravens’ line Sunday.
“They’re trying to cut you and do those things,” Gray told the Tennessean. “You’ve got to make sure you’re doing something that’s hopefully going to hurt them, too.
“You can’t just be the recipient of everything. You’ve got to start doing something that’s going to get you back on track and hopefully they’ll tone that stuff down when you do something else.”
You can bet the league office is paying close attention to Gray’s riff.
Ray Rice — who’s struggled against Pittsburgh in the past — had a sensational opener behind a line that swallowed up the Steelers, but without concrete proof of illegal blocks on the part of the Ravens, Gray’s comments stand out. This matchup is now on the radar.
