Tarvaris Jackson gets some help up front

Seahawks signal-caller Tarvaris Jackson, playing behind the NFL’s youngest offensive line, was sacked a league-leading five times in Sunday’s loss to the 49ers.

For his (line’s lack of) efforts, prophylactics manufacturer NuVo — in one of the more beguiling promotions in recent days — shipped Jackson a box of condoms.

SeattlePI.com reports that it’s part of NuVo’s “extra protection” scheme.

Here’s NuVo’s pitch: “All NFL quarterbacks should know that if your team can’t keep you safe, The NuVo Protection Plan can always lend a helping hand. NuVo Condoms offers the best protection in town!”

Fair enough, but no word if Jay Cutler, also dropped five times Sunday — and now a single man — received a box.
