Mike Tolbert says his knee is “feeling good.” Good enough, in fact, that he plans to do some dancing Sunday in New England.
Tolbert, if you didn’t know, has a penchant for dancing in the end zone. Those moves were on full display during Week 1, as he scored three touchdowns in a 24-17 victory over the Vikings.
“I’ve always loved dancing,” Tolbert told “NFL Fantasy Live” on Thursday. “I’ve always loved to entertain. Just to love dancing and to love football and love the things I do, why not intertwine them and have a good time with it? So if I score a touchdown or even if I make a big play, I’m going to dance, I’m going to shimmy, I’m going to shake — I’m going to do something to entertain the crowd and just have a good time with what I do.”
The knee injury he sustained at the end of the game doesn’t seem to be a concern, leading Tolbert to suggest he’ll be dancing at Gillette Stadium.
“Definitely,” he said. “I have a good time every time I touch the field, so there is definitely going to be some dancing going on.”
Of course, it seems that Tolbert is simply having fun with this. But we’re betting this somehow makes its way to the Patriots’ bulletin board (assuming those still exist) in some form or fashion, given that coach Bill Belichick enjoys clandestine forms of motivation as much as Tolbert does dancing.
