The prognosis is in for Marques Colston and it’s pretty much as expected. Already plenty of people have run to the waiver wire to add Devery Henderson and it appears that he will have an increased role for the next few weeks. And despite coach Sean Payton’s optimism that Lance Moore may be able to go on Sunday versus the Bears, Henderson and Robert Meachem are likely to be Brees’ top wideout targets.

Still, there’s no reason to drop the veteran out of Hofstra if you have the roster space to hang onto him. Once he returns, he’ll immediately see plenty of targets. But it’s also a reminder that where Colston goes, injuries are soon to follow.
