While quarterbacks took center stage Thursday night, it’s time — especially for fantasy owners — to turn their attention to the running backs as we get set for a full slate of Sunday games.
It’s easy to understand why owners of Texans RB Adrian Foster are worried about his injury status. Foster’s season-opening performance last year was the second-best Week 1 rushing game in NFL history.
Foster rolled for 231 yards in last season’s lid-lifter — against the Colts, the same opponent Houston faces Sunday. Foster went on to lead the NFL in rushing last season. Just as the player with the best Week 1 performance of all time, Hall of Famer O.J. Simpson, went on to lead the NFL in rushing in 1973, when he got off to such a great start.
