Titans given roster exemption for Chris Johnson

While the Titans activated newly signed Chris Johnson from the did not report list Saturday, the team does have a roster exemption from the NFL for the running back through Sept. 19.

The Titans released a number of players Saturday, but technically their roster can remain at 54 until Johnson’s exemption is removed. The Titans fully expect to activate Johnson well before the deadline and for him to play in the season opener.
