Raiders release CBs Sheppard, McFadden

The Raiders released CBs Lito Sheppard and Walter McFadden on Saturday, according to a league source.

Sheppard is a 10th-year veteran and two-time Pro Bowl pick who spent seven seasons with the Eagles (2002-08). He played with the Jets in 2009 and the Vikings in 2010. Sheppard was a first-round selection (26th overall) by the Eagles in the 2002 draft.

McFadden played in four games for Oakland last season after being selected in the fifth round of the 2010 draft.
